Hilary & Todd - November 22nd, 2008

Hilary and Todd's wedding reception took place at the rustic Green Gables Mountain Resort.
You really need to see the ball room in person to appriciate the entire rustic, elegant feel it brings to the reception.

Setup Picture.

The room was a little dark for my little piont and shoot camera. . . These are the best I could do. Sorry.

After dinner we did Hilary and Todd's first dance as husband and wife.

New Features and Vacation Status. . .

(Picture from Justin Merriman.)

Two new features I brought into the blog. . .

1. I've been asked by a many of my couples to incorporate instant notification to new blog posts.
I added a blog subscription gadget for all of those who asked. :) Enjoy.

2. I also added a J.G.P. YouTube video gadget. You can view all of my YouTube videos with out leaving the blog now! This gadget is under my favorite vendor list on the left side of the blog.

Let me know how this works. I've been having some on - off issues with this on my end.

VACATION TIME!!! 10-29 / 11-2

This weekend is my first Saturday off since my wedding in July. Heather and I are heading to New Orleans with my business partner Doug, his wife Jean and our good friend Matt. We will be meeting several more people in New Orleans for a fantastic Halloween weekend!
I'll try my best to stay up to date with phone calls and emails, but most likely they will get pushed back until we come back.

Another Wonderful Testimonial

Just got this one in from Angela a couple hours ago.

I can not even begin to thank you enough for how amazing you made our wedding! It was above and beyond anything Dan and I could have imagined! Our friends and family our still telling us how much fun it was and how great the music was! We loved ever bit of it! My sister Adriane is already asking about booking you so I'm sure you will hear from her soon! I saw the pics on your website and they are great! I will gladly write, preach, and sing your praises to whomever you would like!! I'm in the service business myself and I can honestly say that it takes a special person to nail a person's personality. Not only did you nail exactly what Dan and I wanted it was like one of our good friends was DJ'ing for us! It was so nice to meet you and your wife and I hope our friends at your table did scare you too much! Thank you so, so much!!

OH MY GOD Jeremy I almost forgot to tell you!!! Not only was your music so entertaining for my wedding but also the wedding crashers that we had enjoyed it as well!! Yes we had about 15 wedding crashers at the reception! I wasn't aware of this until the following day! My sister found one eating cookies and having a beer, my other friend found one dancing on the dance floor, and than there was a family that came in and exclaimed "You eye-talians know how to party!!" I thought you would get a kick out of that! Thanks again!!

Leslie & Ben - October 25th, 2008

Leslie and Ben's wedding reception was at the Fox Chapel Golf Club. The FCGC has amazing architecture that you rarely find in a country club. The ballroom was beautiful. . .the details on the ceiling. . . the wonderful fire place behind my table. . . It's truly a venue to consider to have your reception there.

The one stipulation is you have to have a member sponsor you.

Setup Picture.

Dinner was located in the breath-taking Atrium. The atrium's beauty was highlighted by the exquisite flowers by one of my favorite florists, April with Mocha Rose. Make sure you check out her blog for some wonderful pictures of the flowers.

Ben and Leslie's wedding cake.
The first toast of the night was from out best man Kevin.
After Kevin it was Leslie's brother Brian.

Once diner was over we invited the guest into the ballroom for Leslie and Ben's first dance as Husband and Wife. . .

Flashbox for your Pittsburgh Wedding Reception

Flashbox is a new company, based right here in Pittsburgh, and has been a hit at weddings so far. The technology behind the sleek, slim kiosk was designed by Carnegie Mellon graduates. Because of that, FlashBox is currently only available to Western Pennsylvania couples–giving them a chance to use this new gadget before anyone else in the country.
Here is a story on Flashbox on KDKA.

My great friend and Event Planner, Natalie Berger is explaining how it works.

Great Testimonial

I received this wonderful email from Laura Foster the other day. Laura's wedding took place back on August 15th.

Before I put Laura's email up, I'll include the one I received from her mother the Monday after the wedding.

"Dear Jeremy,

I am Laura Donahoe's mother, whose wedding you did just last Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel in Greentree. I want to thank you so much for your outstanding DJ services. You did absolutely fantastic job. Your music was great, and you were so unobtrusive, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Everyone I have spoken with has commented on the outstanding quality of the music at Laura and Drew's reception. We could not have asked for more in the music department. I am really glad that Laura and Drew chose you for their reception. I'm sorry that I did not personally thank you at the reception. You were so unobtrusive that I didn't even notice you!!Also, I was kind of distracted with friends, relatives, and everything that was happening at the reception. Thanks again. You did a wonderful job for us.

Sincerely,

Terry Donahoe"

This one is from Laura herself.

Jeremy,
I wanted to thank you for all of your fantastic work at our wedding on August 15th. I'm sorry that this email didn't arrive sooner. We both started new jobs just after the wedding and took a while to settle in. Drew and I had the time of our lives and all of our guests commented on how great the party was. So much of that was thanks to you! Everyone was more than pleased with the music selection. You kept the evening running smoothly, helped to keep us on schedule, and kept the dance floor packed all night. Thank you for being so helpful, flexible and fun. You really helped to give us the wedding we dreamed of. All of our guests commented on how great the music was and many commented on the size of your speakers. I'm sure you hear that all the time but it really is great to get such good sound quality out of such unimposing speakers.
I wanted to share with you a message that we found in our guest book the next day: "I was in the wedding across the hall...they were playing music like Butterfly Kisses, Creed, and Lifehouse. And when I heard the music coming from your wedding I got insanely jealous and if I was a wedding crasher I would have joined in the fun. Awesome Music. Good luck to the cool couple." All of our family members read it and were talking about it the next day.
Be proud....you tempt people to crash weddings!I would love to have a couple of your business cards for when more of our friends start getting married.
It would be my pleasure to recommend you to anyone. My address is included below so drop some cards in the mail to me sometime. Thank you again for helping us and our guests have a blast and make wonderful memories. Take care!

Best,

Laura Donahoe Foster

Angela & Dan - Octoboer 18th, 2008

Angela and Dan's reception took place at the wonderful Oglebay Resort in Wheeling West Virgina. It's been around a year since I was at Oglebay. This time the wedding was in the Grand Ballroom.

Setup Picture.
As you can see, I am not on the stage. This is not a concert nor a party. Stages are for the "star" of the show and that is NOT me.

The room was set up for 266 people.

The cocktails were held outside on this beautiful brisk afternoon.

After the introductions we went into Angela and Dan's first dance.

No, I didn't mess up the order of the pictures. . . . After the introduction we did the bridal party dance then invited everyone to join them on the dance floor. I played a couple songs after the bridal party dance. The dance floor was packed!

After our little dance party we went into the speech's for the evening. First up was out Best Man Brice.

Following Brice was Angela's sisters, Nicole and Adrianne

Then we had a wonderful toast by Angela's father Frank.

Last but certainly not least was a wonderful thank you toast from Dan himself.

Cake cutting ceremony.

Father / Daughter Dance.

Dan's dances with his mothers, Rebeca and Shannon.

Live, Laugh, Love and Dance the night away!

Great Picture Angela!

What a wonderful way to end the night.
